Happy Thanksgiving!
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Dan's family at Lake Oconnee. Dan caught up on his sleep and went back to Athens to watch the Georgia vs Georgia Tech football game. Erin enjoyed a little less housework! Emma loved playing with her cousins. During one of her naps the kids were playing right outside her window. She was standing at the window watching them have fun. I told her to try to sleep for 30 min, if she was still awake she could get up and play. Luckily she fell asleep! Georgia loved having so many people to hold her, but she didn't enjoy eating solid food without sitting in a high chair. Mommy's lap is just too distracting!

Babyland
My friend, Christie, and I took our girls to Babyland. We probably spent an hour there plus and hour drive each way. Lets just say I am glad it was free admission. Emma had a great time, so we will go again in another year or so! Georgia was with us, but I didn't take any pictures of her because I was holding her. Poor kid!
Emma loves Santa this year! Hooray!Saturday, November 8, 2008
Georgia Kentucky Game
In November, Dan and I went with some friends to the Kentucky game. We left early in the morning on Saturday and drove to Lexington for the game. Afterwards we ate at Merrick Inn. The food was great!
At the game
Robyn and Steve ~ our traveling buddies
The next day we visited Keeneland race track before heading home. Dan and I drove to Louiville the last time we came up for the Kentucky game to visit Churchill Downs. I like to read Dick Francis books and it is the only American race track I am familiar with and since it is the site of the Kentucky Derby we both wanted to see it. What a disapointment! It is old and dirty. Keeneland is what race tracks should look like. Beautiful.

Georgia is eating solids
Georgia, like her sister, is not too sure that eating solids is all it is cracked up to be. We started with bananas last week and she would have none of it. After the four day wait, I decided to go with something blander...rice cereal. She even swallowed some of it! Now the years of messing eating begin!

Presents from Grandma Bryant
Emma has been spoiled by her Grandma Bryant. Everytime a box comes in the mail, she thinks it is presents for Emma. Today she got her wish! Unfortunatly, no one told her that Georgia would also be getting presents in the mail! She loves her new witch purse.
The toys, candy and book are great. Thank you, Grandma & Grandpa Bryant!

Chuck E Cheese
Dan and I took the girls to Chuck E Cheese for the first time Monday night. I told Emma we were going somewhere fun after nap. As soon as she woke up she wanted to go "bye bye." I told her we were going to Chuck E Cheese and she started crying, "No, park!" Dan and I ashured her she would like Chuck E Cheese. Then she decided that mommy and georgia should stay home becuase only she and Daddy could go to Chuch E Cheese! When we finanlly got there, she had a blast. She loved the pizza, the rides and games, the play ground, and especially Chuck E Cheese singing. I love to see her have so much fun!

Emma is a good big sister
Last night, I was getting the girls ready for bed and I didn't have clean pj's for Georgia. I laid her on the floor and asked Emma to play with her while I ran to the laundry room. I came back to Georgia minus her diaper and Emma wiping her. I asked Emma what she was doing and she told me Georgia needed her diaper changed. Thank goodness, she really didn't. I asked her what she did with the diaper and she pulled it out of the bathroom trash. My little helper!

Washington Farm Pumpkin Patch
We went to Washington Farm in Watkinsville, Georgia to get our family pumpkins. We had a blast with our friends! Emma was scared of the petting zoo. Since I didn't pick her up right away she tried to hide between my legs. When we went for strawberries back in April, a goat bit her hand and she thought it was funny at the time. Now that she is two, she is scared of everything. The kids did great posing for pictures! They liked all of the activities, but they all loved the cow train.

United Methodist Pumpkin Patch
Emma's school class made a visit to the Church's pumpkin patch. I went to take pictures and now I know why the 2-year-olds do not go on actual field trips! They hold a rope to keep them in line. They couldn't possibly do it without the rope, but every kid came off the rope at some point in the 200 foot journey! They listened to a Halloween story read by one of the church's pastors. Then they picked out their mini-pumpkin and ran around. Back in the classroom, Emma's class used stickers to make their pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns!

Arizona
Dan and I went to Tempe, Arizona in September for the Georgia vs. Arizona State game. It was sooooo hot! The game was great. It is always enjoyable to see the Dawgs win!
We went to the Mesa Arizona Temple and Visitor Center with friends. We also made the drive to see the Grand Canyon. It was beautiful!
